ELIS Finish Recording New Album

March 22, 2006

Liechtenstein-based female-fronted gothic metal band ELIS recorded the final parts for the follow-up to 2004's "Dark Clouds in a Perfect Sky" on March 3-4 at Mastersound Studios in Stuttgart. "While Jana, Sarah, Wolfram and Timmi played all string parts in only two days, Esther gave her debut in the studio on the harp," reads a posting on the group's web site. Producing the effort once again is Alexander Krull (ATROCITY, LEAVES' EYES). A summer release via Napalm Records is expected.

Commented singer Sabine Dünser: "The strings sound really great and I'm already very curious about how it is going to sound when it is mixed and mastered. In any case, the songs will gain a lot of warmth and dynamics. I'm especially looking forward to the song which is once more based on a poem by Georg Trakl. The beautiful sound of the harp will make him a special pearl in the chain of new songs."

ELIS will be opening for LEAVES' EYES on select European dates in April and May.
